Saint Tropez

Saint Tropez is a pretty famous town a little West of where we live. Bridget Bardot made it famous and it has been a playground for the rich and famous since. Though the day we went the town was crawling with motorcyclist and their stinky, obnoxiously loud Harley's. I expected to see princes and movie stars and all I got was those guys. We took the boat from Cannes to St. Tropez, about a 2 hour trip. We visited the town with our friends Andrew and Angela, and then later on with Dad and Jo.  Here's the proof.

It was a group decision to go to St. Tropez, and here was Patti's reaction to the decision.

Here is the family on the boat leaving Cannes. Gorgeous day !!

The sea was calm, but Jeff still held on tight.

Land Ahoy !! Connor spots land and gets the gold doubloon. St. Tropez was in sight !!

Here is a picture of what Connor spotted. Patti and Connor with St. Tropez in the background.

Even Jeff was happy at this point.

Here is Patti and Connor enjoying a stunningly beautiful day on our third trip out.

We then had lunch at a cafe along the harbor. Funny, we ate in the same place again with Dad and Jo, only on the other side of the room. Must have been a good place (it was).

Rode some rides at the local carnival (I love this picture).

The local French army spotted some Germans coming over the border and that caused them to flee. Here they are hightailing it out of town.

Here we are on our third trip out to St. Tropez, standing on a pathway right along the edge of the sea. You can just see how gorgeous the place is from this picture and the second as well, which is from the same location.
